Nitro's tie Ghostriders 3-3 in exhibition game

The Dynamiters skated to a three-three draw in front of a home crowd against the Fernie Ghostriders. It is fair to say that the rivalry has been reignited. Line up here.

There were some solid hits, Busch knocked around some Rider players during the first. Brouwer committed highway robbery. But then, we also got caught going for big hits and nice plays that led to the Ghostriders first goal. The Dynamiter's also kept going for the skates of the Ghostriders goalie, and he was struggling stopping low shots, especially during wrap arounds.

In the second period, both teams swapped goals, and the Dynamiters took a 3-2 lead into the third. The Dynamiters had chances to take a 4-2 lead, having a 2-man power play advantage, and hitting the post several times. But couldn't cash in, and the Ghostriders scored and tied the game.

The game got rough in the last 5-7 minutes, especially after Wallace was injured (nice no call!).

Goals were scored by Richter, and Campanella x2,

The new reporter Taylor Rocca for the Townsman/Bulletin, and emphasis on him being a reporter, named the following three stars.

The Nitro's have one more pre-season game against Columbia Valley on Monday. They have 28 players on their roster and will start the season with 22. So there will be a lot of heart out on the ice.
